About Me

My introduction

With a computer science degree and experience in various roles, from developing secure social media storage solutions to optimizing data transfer in a genetics lab, I bring a diverse skill set to every project. I have a keen eye for detail, honed through my time in transcription, and am skilled in both frontend and backend development, as well as Java, C++, and Python.

I thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy participating in agile/scrum processes to deliver high-quality solutions. My recent projects include creating a journaling/well-being tracker app designed to support the emotional well-being of individuals with autism and implementing dynamic theming for web applications.

When I'm not coding, I love woodworking, hiking, and taking care of my plants!

CensorMate

CensorMate is a Chrome extension developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that allows users to block and replace specific words on any webpage. Users can customize both the words to block and their replacements, with changes applied dynamically using the MutationObserver Web API to monitor and update text as the page content changes. The extension also uses the Chrome Storage API to securely save and manage user settings. With password protection to prevent unauthorized access, CensorMate is ideal for use around children, ensuring that the blocked words list and its settings remain secure and unaltered.
